BIOGRAPHY
Håkan Dahlström, born in Sweden (1952) has dedicated himself to art since early on.
As a sculptor and filmmaker he is especially interested in light. A lot of experimenting goes on,
using reflecting sunrays and their effects, in some cases with what he calls “geared-down sunlight”.
He also uses classical materials like bronze, iron or wood and works with natural elements like grass.
He works with video as well as 16mm film, also with ways to achieve interaction between
film, photography and 3-dimensional work. His work has been about light during many years, today he is very
centered on this theme.
